HSPT Make-up Dates
Can't test on the scheduled test date? What if your child gets sick on test day? For these situations, you may be able to take your HSPT on a different day. Note that this may be possible, but it's not guaranteed.
The first thing you need to do is get in touch with the school you're applying to as soon as you can. In general, the earlier, the better.
All of the schools we've talked to really need students to take the test on the published day. (Though some schools may offer a different testing date for students with testing accommodations.)
In some cases, you may be able to take the HSPT at one school and have them share the score with the school you're applying to. For example, if you're applying to School A, but School A doesn't have a make-up test date at all, they may suggest you take the HSPT at School B, which will have one. In this case, you would take the HSPT at School B, and School B would share the HSPT score with School A. Note that the two schools may or may not be in the same town; it may be necessary to travel to a different town to take the test.
In short, it's sometimes possible to take the HSPT at a different date, but you must coordinate directly with the school you're applying to; no one else can give you this information.
